Colleen Roberts
Colleen Kirby Roberts, AICP, is the Managing Member of Peak Consulting Group, LLC, bringing over 26 years of experience in transportation and environmental planning, urban design, and public involvement. A Yale University graduate with a B.A. in Art History, Colleen combines analytical rigor with creative problem-solving to guide complex infrastructure and planning initiatives. As a certified member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, she is widely recognized for her ability to manage large-scale NEPA evaluations and coordinate across federal, state, and local agencies to deliver sustainable and community-centered outcomes.
Throughout her career, Colleen has led or contributed to dozens of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) processes and planning documents nationwide. Her leadership is marked by an emphasis on thoughtful alternatives analysis, stakeholder coordination, and strategic advisory services for clients including the City and County of Denver, the Regional Transportation District (RTD), and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT). She has managed projects addressing multimodal transportation, corridor planning, and environmental compliance, ensuring that technical accuracy and public interest remain at the forefront of every phase.
In addition to her project work, Colleen is deeply involved in professional organizations that promote innovation and collaboration in the field, including the American Council of Engineering Companies in Colorado, the Women’s Transportation Seminar, and the American Planning Association. Her reputation for precision, responsiveness, and clear communication continues to make her a trusted advisor in shaping Colorado’s transportation landscape and advancing responsible infrastructure planning across the region.
