Background
Matt Kizlinski is a Senior Environmental Scientist with Peak Consulting Group, bringing more than 20 years of experience in Clean Water Act (CWA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance. He holds a Master’s degree in Forest Science from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s in Soil Science from the University of New Hampshire. Matt is known for his deep understanding of aquatic resource management, permitting strategy, and regulatory coordination, and for his ability to translate complex environmental requirements into practical, project-ready solutions.
Throughout his career, Matt has supported a wide range of transportation, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects across the western United States. His work often focuses on wetland delineation, jurisdictional determinations, and impact minimization strategies under the Clean Water Act. At Peak, he has contributed to major efforts such as the I-70 Floyd Hill improvements, I-25 Safety and Operations projects, and environmental compliance work for Denver International Airport. Matt’s experience also extends to habitat assessments, cultural resource coordination, and field investigations for local and federal clients, including CDOT, FHWA, and the City and County of Denver.
